First “Cloned Sniffer Dogs” by Korea Scientist
South Korean First Cloned Sniffer Dogs will start reporting for duties in 2 months. There are seven cloned puppies that are created from the somatic cells from a skilled sniffer dog Chase, a golden retriever.
Training for these Cloned Sniffer Dogs will be much easier, as the genetic cells were taken from a top skilled sniffer dog.
This Cloned Sniffer Dogs history is created by Pro Lee Jae Yong, the project Manager, cloning scientist. Prof Lee is the former colleague of disgraced scientist, Hwang Woo Suk. Hwang was indicted in 2006 for fraud and various charges.
Hwang was banned from research using human eggs after claiming he has created the first human stem cells. That was found to be a scam last year. But for now, these seven Cloned Sniffer Dogs, Toppy, will undergo a second round of Dog Obedience Training.
